The history of industrial rock band Filter actually begins before the group really existed, as frontman Richard Patrick absorbed a lot of experience and influences from buddy Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails). The two met in a music shop in Cleveland, sealed their friendship, and Patrick eventually became NIN’s guitarist between 1989 and 1993. When he left the band, he founded Filter. Cult hits like ‘Hey Man Nice Shot’ and ‘Take a Picture’ defined the sound of the alternative 1990s. Richard Patrick made some creative side jumps, such as with the supergroup Army Of Anyone or as a film music writer and producer, but this year he will return with new music together with Filter! The group will play this new material as well as the rest of their groundbreaking oeuvre on 10 March 2024 at Trix.
